damn looks nice... its called a tie bar? damn people also call it the x bar, or cross bar.. too many damn names for it man... did you notice a difference?
I ordered one from the GB. According to UPS, it's scheduled to arrive at my house tomorrow! WooHoo...I can't wait. So tomorrow, I'll have to install that and my Front Upper Strut (since I didnt have time before). I hope the lower one isnt a hard install.
Also for the top, anyone know how I should go about it if I don't have a torque wrench?

Looks killer. Definately post pics guys.
If you don't have a torque wrench you can go by feel. You'll have to have experience in tightening many bolts to get the torque level down though. It's not like it has to be exact, just within a certain range. Too much torque and you strip a bolt or a nut. Too little and the nut or bolt can come loose. Sometimes less is more though...

but then again I didn't realize they were going for 125 shipped.
oooh. I think I might order.
just ordered the honda oem subframe rod though.. so I duno. eh, how stiff do I want the front to get? I duno. heh.
neuspeed generally comes with decent instructions on products.
My bar came in today as expected. Almost missed the UPS guy...whew! Except it's raining hardcore in NYC, so I cant install it!!! So the DIY if any will have to wait. The item looks just like the one on the picture...although I didnt notice it till I saw it in person that one half of the bar is longer than the other. You can prolly tell in the picture...sorry no pics from me (lack of digital camera) However, I can help you all prepare with the install. I scanned the installation intructions and posted them here.
One thing I just noticed is that it says on top: "For '01 and up Acura RSX, '02 and up Honda Civic Si" I hope that doesnt mean this wont fit. I dunno about the suspension between us and the Si, but I'm gonna assume that if it fits the RSX, it'll fit for us. Sorry for the huge pics.

Nice! I may get one if I have the money. Otherwise I'll just make one when I get my MIG welder.
Thanks for the scanned installation instructions and thanks for the link to Club RSX.
Is worries me that they say it's only for RSX and 2002+ Civic Si's, but maybe they're wrong. Let us know if you can install it on our cars without any problems.
I have had some correspondance with Neuspeed directly and have worked out a deal for us to get the X-Brace. Here is the deal directly from the Neuspeed email that I received.
"For any clubrsx.com member that calls us at (800)423-3623 or (805)388-7171, we will sell to them directly our front lower X-Brace for $99.99 plus $10.00 to ship anywhere in the 48 states. For all others outside the 48 states, they will need to inquire about freight charges. They must mention they are from clubrsx.com and pay with a credit card to expedite the purchase. This is only for a limited time and our supply is limited, so first come, first serve. Our part is #45.20.68 and normally sells for $179.95 MSRP. Keep in mind that his piece fits both models of the RSX and the 2002 and later Civic SIs. If you can share this special deal with your fellow members, we would appreciate it."
One interesting note.
I'de get this too: Fram Sure Drain Installed
It has a long hose that you attach to the drain plug, so there shouldn't be any problem when changing your oil with that cross-brace.
And to answer the question about oil changes. I was wrong... It's gonna be a little bit more difficult. The center of the X-brace is right below the oil drain plug, so if removed... oil will go all over the X-brace. Guess i'll have to find something clever to use to protect the x-brace... Maybe saran wrap it and let the oil gush...
lol. I just signed up for clubrsx recently too. think I'll give a call with my CC in hand...
I can definitely see how it will make oil changes a bit more messy... I wouldn't really care if oil gets all over my bar... but yeah, since I'm too lazy to change my own oil... (and the fact that it'll save me only a few bucks at a time for the hassle) I'll let the honda dealer worry about that...
I still wish theyplace the oil filter at a reasonable place... previous civics doesn't seem to be at such hard to reach area. I dont want to get owned by my cat. convertor or anything hot down there. heh.
tempting christmas gift for myself...
I've been saying that a lot lately. not good.
edit: thought our sub frame was suppose to be different??? I guess it'll still fit. hmm.
