KHUMHO TIRES

What do you guys think of khumho tires? Cuz i have em on 17" and when i accelerate on wet pavement it slips like im doing a burn out which is cool but at the same time dangerous. Does this ever happen to you guys?

yeah thats true,..
but anyhow i have the 712's. I think they're great, I've heard they tend to slip sometimes but either way they are much much better than stock. & they're realatively inexpensive!

I agree. My friend has them (the 712's), and although they aren't the greatest on WET pavement, they sure as he11 beat stock, that's for sure.

Most people will buy the Kumho's if they are getting rims, cuz they don't want to dish out all the money for expensive tires.

My friend got some Bridgestone Pole Positions, and his tires seriously BITE. They're better than the Kumho's (from ride experience, not referring to paper) in the corners, and in the straight stretch. They also grip way better in rain.

They're only a BIT more pricey, though

Bottom line: they're cheap, and they're a great starter tire! Just don't expect the world from them

YES, i had that problem too, however, for $100 each tire, that's a pretty damn good tire. I've put almost 13,000 miles on them and I took them to autocross, drag race...they are still good...p.s. i had 15,000 miles on my car right now

My 712's couldn't be any better. Our cars aren't all wheel drive, so how much can you expect from a tire and traction when its raining... Kumho's with some Strut and Sway bars should be awesome!

looks like most people hit the nail on the head about Kumhos. I think the Supra 712's are good when you get rims and you'd rather not pay 600 for the set of tires. There are many other tires that could whip Kumho's, but for a price. Once you start looking at tires for larger rims, like 16 and 17, the new sizes that emerge will dip you into some serious performance tires. Comparing tires of stock sizes......i wouldn't get kumho's....not that good for the money, because price drops w/the stock sizes, compared to 16and 17, so you can get a better tire than kumho for like 8-16bucks more. Correct me if im wrong, but the supra 712 isn't offered in any stock size, is it?
