you dont even have to remove the bumper. If you remove some of the plastic pins that hold the wheel well lining in, and you jack the car up enough you can squeeze the filter (which is why u need to "remove the bumper" if u r a dumbass) through the opening you made and then attach it to the intake pipe, which installs with ease from a top down manner.

Great, but that's not what the instructions said, and since I dont know that much I would follow the instructions, and plus its already installed so I dont care! It cost like 30 bucks for them to put it on for me and it saved me an hour and half of installation time + an endless barrage of my father.

Instructions are just the manufacturer's SUGGESTIONS on how to do it.
edit: if it took them an hour and a half they must have been out back smoking a blunt for 45 minutes. it doesnt take anywhere near that long to do it.

hondaguru is correct. you dont have to remove the bumper if you do it just makes it easier to install the second half of the intake. but i am working a diy for the installation of the cai and i will be removing the bumper for you all if you like but its really no need.

i think when i put mine on the first time it took me around an hour just because i couldn't figure out exactly how to get the second pipe in and where that bracket was suppose to mount after that a couple months later when i took off the second pipe and did the lil cai - sri conversion it only took about 5min its just getting to know where everything is on your car

Hey, atleast you got it and it works... That's what counts. It doesn't really matter how it got there, but there is the question....
Now that you don't know how it went in, how are you going to get the filter out to clean it? You still have to take something apart. So you saved the trouble of installing it, but 6 months from now or whatever, you're still going to have to figure out how to get in there. I don't think you're going to take it in and get someone else to pull the filter are you?
