Saw a lowered NBP Coupe in Frederick on Saturday morning near Golden Mile...

on saturday morning around 10am i was driving home on Baughmans Lane from the Golden Mile (coming back from PepBoys where i was getting a Tie Rod seperator to install my Teins) and i saw a NBP Coupe with relatively dark tint (or around 35% with a black interior) that was lowered and had aftermarket rims and the "donut" altezzas i think, and it had red '7thgencivic.com' stickers on the rear quarter panels along with a few other stickers i cant remember, and he was turning out of the shopping area right across from the Holiday Cinemas onto Baughmans Lane towards the Golden Mile. i also saw this same car on North I-270 on thursday right before the lane narrowing (the exit for 121) at around 7:30pm maybe...i passed the guy in the left lane, and i remember he was on a cell phone.

i just wanted to know who that was...you might have seen me, i have a EBP Coupe with White 17" rims and 35% tint, and white '7thgencivic.com' stickers on my rear quarter panel windows.

heh, yeah, well see i didnt know i needed anything special to remove the tie-rod, so on friday night after i did the rear, i started on the front and i couldnt get the tie rod off no matter what i did. so i gave up for the night (it was 3am by then) and went on to the forums where i found out you have to use the fork type tie-rod seperater thing...so i got some sleep then in the morning went to PepBoys to get a kit of 3 diff sized forks, and that worked great...btw, the front Teins are way easier to install than the back when you have the right tool

only problem is, the tie-rod remover ruptured the tie-rod joint boots in 2 small places, so if you squeeze them grease comes out. now, i am wondering if i can leave them like that or if i should buy som replacements from Majestic Honda or what?

btw, i will post pics soon, i gotta get my car at least a bit cleaner since its filthy right now.

my boots were damaged during the installation too. people say they'll be fine. I remember reading a story on this site, where someone went to the dealer to order new tie rod boots and they said the only way to replace them is to get a new tie rod. no one has been able to figure out how to get them off

Hey Seth...I'm pretty sure I know who you are talking about. That black civic coupe right? It's Thrashn2001. He doesn't come to the boards any more, I'm pretty sure he quit his job where he had internet access. I used to talk to him all the time. He lives in the townhouse right there...um, I forget what they are called. Near the gym and stuff...I'm sure you know what I am talking about. But yea, next time you see him....make him pull over and see how he is and stuff....lol, kidding man!

Get those pictures up!
