Sylvania Silverstars: GOT EM!!! (PICS)
i just put these in tonight! they look great! i wasnt sure if i should get the coolblues or silverstars... glad i got the silverstars! theres a nice crisp line when the beam is on a wall or even on the street for that matter! you can't reall tell the difference from stock bulbs when you look at the headlamps but when you see the beam... aahhh guess which ones the silverstar pic? yeah... the brighter one! but chapo... that one looks like you used the flash... oh no sir/miss... thats the beam reflecting off of the wall and onto the car and its surroundings!
i give these...
(two thumbs up)

I have them And I love them. Theres only one problem with them.... Expect like a million people to bright light you when you are meeting them on the road. I get atleast 3 or 4 people everynight to do it to me. The lights are so bright that they think my high beams are on until I flash them Back

2nd pic...is the high beam on? Seems a little too bright for low beam... even my PIAA's are not even that bright.
I've had them a couple weeks and love them. I really did expect oncoming traffic to be blinded but have had no one flash me down. And the high beams are a whole new experience. Highway signs reflect back so brightly it can be distracting at times. Even the deer and bunnies seem to stay clear
I really did like the "blue" look of the Eurolites which the SilverStars do not have, so if that's what you're looking for I'd say Cool Blues or your favorite brand. IMO though there is no contest. The SilverStars are the brightest "legal" bulb out there. And the type of roads I drive this is much more important than the coolness of blue.
TECH FYI: even though the 9003's are rated at 55/60 watts they are actually 60/70 watts. And not the "always claimed higher output ratings" of other bulbs. DOT permits 65/72watts max on 9003/H4 bulbs so this is perfectly legal. Lumens are 1000/1400 and color temp is 4000° K if you're interested.
EDIT: No H1 or H2 bulbs, only 9003(H4),9004,9005,9006,9007. Sylvania does not produce those size bulbs for some reason??
EDIT #2: Although these bulbs are bright, the pics that started this tread are a bit deceiving. You can clearly see a reflection on the front plate in image 1, yet not in image2. Also the other bulbs are brighter in image 2 including the overhead light bulb reflecting on the hood. So, is it the camera adjusting for the difference in light.
I don't think so. So, are they really brighter?? Yes, just not quite that bright.

FYI, I found them at a new AutoZone by me. $19.99, but they were outta stock. The AutoZone in the next town didn't even have a slot for the 9003ST version, and they were $24.99. Sooo, the girl at the first one says they get their shipments on Mondays, so call in and she'll save a couple for me.
Monday, Monday, Monday.
