If your car didn't come with side airbags then you shouldnt have to worry about the SRS light coming on, but what might trigger it is the connector for the noise when your not buckled in might have something to do with the SRS light to. Like to say if it was disconnected that light might come on to remind you that something is wrong with the electrical of that area.
also... i was screwing around with my seats and stuff while the car was on and the SRS light came on... had the dealer reset it. Did the same thing with the car off... no SRS light.
my srs light has come on twice already. the dealership reset it the first time but said they would have to charge me if it happened again. the second time it came on, i used the diy on how to reset the srs light and it went off. the only reason it will not reset is if there is something wrong.

no lights should come on if you don't have any side air bags. i have aftermarket seats and none of my lights are on. all you have to make sure is that you re-connect the wires, which are just plugs, to the seat belt harness so the seat belt light can work properly. also are the brakets that you are going to use made for this car? if not, you will loose your seat belts.
