How to jack up rear side of car?

I want to change my winter tires on soon, where do I jack up the car on the rear? I know where to put the stands, but don't know where to put the jack.

RTFM..........the owners manual will tell you.

I think its about 6 inches in front of the rear tire, there should be a slot for the jack to fit.

Well, while we're on the subject, how do you jack the ENTIRE rear at once. The manual does not tell you that. On the front there is a point on the frame in the center where there is a jack point, but I have yet to find one in the back. So where is it?

I have seen people lift 7th gens with a floor jack on the crossmember between where the rear lower arms attach in the center. I dont know if the factory approves of this but it didnt seem to hurt the cars.....

the jack point to lift the entire rear at once is in the center of the car, about 4" from the rear bumper, it is the tow loop, sticks down a bit. This is listed in the tech manual.

As per the OEM manual.

If you are lifting with a floor jack and want to raise the front, look under the front of the car behind the bumper. You will see a metal pad with an arrow pointing to it. This is the recommended place to lift the entire front of the car.

To lift the rear, you place the jack under the loop underneath the car. Most would call this the boat tie down. Then you lift at that point.

Always place jack stands at the scissor jack lift points to support the car.
