Poppin'-n-a-creakin'!

I just got my Goldlines installed! Yay! But, I'm a bit concerned. I was driving it home from the shop and I'm hearing some popping and creaking coming from the front passenger side of the car going down the road. I'm not really sure if it's a bad install on that side, or if it's just going to take a few days to settle and it'll go away. I know I need an alignment too, so maybe it'll go away after that. Is this really anything I should be concerned about? ???

GoldLine is an unknown quantity at this point
If you can, please give our tech dept. a call @ 877-671-9752. Although it sounds like an install issue, we want to make sure it does not go unaddressed.

is it a similar noise to mine? when researching whether to buy springs or coilovers, I read many posts about people having a clicking noise for a week or two after installation. because of that, I would just assume they have to settle. congrats on the install

I have the Neuspeed Sports and they've been on my car for about 3 months.... I still get the "popping" and rubbing sound from the front right wheel only. It may just be your dead coils stacked on top of eachother and they rub. I only get the sound when I'm doing like 3mph and about to park. But yeah give Goldline a call and then take it back to the shop and see wussup....

I have the GoldLines also and I hear the poppin' and the creaking" when I'm reversing and turning at the same time....it sounds scary, kinda like when your CV boot is shot....

Also the car still sits lower on the drivers side than the passenger, it's been like this for about a month, ... idunno about these springs

Well, I have good news to report on my springs. It's not the springs that are screwed up. The installers didn't finish up the job last night, cause they kind of wanted to get out of there. They forgot to finish tightening the strut nut, so there was a little play in the strut vertically. Just took it back to the shop, had them fix it, and it's as good as new.

I got mine installed by Maximum Performance. They're located on Jensen Rd, which is right off of Birdneck Rd. It's right past Seatack Elementary on the right hand side. They're in that new industrial park right there. If you go, just tell them Mark with the white 2k1 civic sentcha. They might be able to hook you up.

yo that just helped me out man...for the longest time i had that same creak, i looked at my springs and i saw that they were grinding at the bottom of the spring so i put a piece of rubber tubbing to fix it but it only fixed the problem for a little while, until i read this and sure enuff the strut nut was loose...i tightened it today it drives nice and smooth....
