PLEASE RESPOND

hey guys i have a factory OEM wood trim kit, i personally love it, but i saw this guy selling the whole kit for $149, and it has a bunch of stuff on it compared to the ones i have now. so do you think i should get it or not? or do you guys prefer a brushed aluminum trim kit?

BTW. if i get a new kit, how in da world can i take off the current dast trim kit that i have now? i have the center console, center dash, and the two front air vents???

PLEASE HELP ME, before somebody gets the item i wanna buy from Ebay.

thanks. - praning.

I would only leave it on if the other kit you get matches it.

Personally, $150 for a kit that has a lot of stuff you already have is a waste. BUT the thing to remember is that it's your ride. Myself I'd get either a brushed aluminum or titanium kit for mine. (They don't make titanium, but if they did that's what I'd get) So if it's something you like then go for it. That's my opinion on it ...

Oh, and the trim kits from ebay or whatever generally come with adhesive tape to stick it on. But I don't know how they fasten the factory ones on

Hey Blue, if you get the metallic or metal-look kit from HandAaccessories.com it is the one with the gold tint to it so it looks like Ti. And all kits I've seen, including real cf and aluminum use the 3M double-sided tape.

CiViCPrAnInG2k1: You can just heat up the original kit's pieces with a heat gun and peel it off, then use goo be gone or something like it to remove any adhesive residue.

ok dude i can see that using a heat gun possible on the center dash and the 2 vents, but the center console is different, it looks like they really did something on it???? any answers?

also if i EVER figure out how to take the dash trim kit off my car, what do you prefer? the wood trim kit that has more pieces or the aluminum trim kit that has less pieces?

also, call me a dumb fvck or something, but i dont have a heat gun, what else can i use?

Ok then, a blow dryer will do...if you don't have one of those, I'm pretty sure your gf will.

Not sure about your center console but on mine it installed the same way: Using the double-sided tape.

As for preferences, I prefer the brushed aluminum look beacuse I'd much rather have the real cf but it's expensive, and the wood-look kit looked too fake, IMO.

Of course, it'll depend on YOUR preference and whether you're going for a luxury or sporty look for your interior.
