Awesome deals on I.C.E
Just wanted to let you all know that if you are looking for good deals on equipment you should get a job at one of the big stores. I recently got a part time job at American( a big electronics store in Milwaukee) and these are some of the prices that I pay for stuff.
Alpine 7995 - $309.00
Kicker Solo-Baric 12L5 - $100.43 each
Kicker Solo-Baric 12L7 - $140.00 each
Rockford Fosgate Amp(250 watts x 2) - $217.00
Rockford Fosgate Amp(125 watts x 4) - $190.68
Total Cost For Me using the 12L5 subs - $917.54 + Tax (Still gotta pay the man)
You might want to look into it.
I can also get an alpine alarm that retails around $250.00 for $97.61.
Also get Infinity 6.5 Kappa's - $139.00 a set
MB Quart 6.5 - $152.63 a set
Dam I got the sweet hookup.
This is so sweet.

And you'll get yourself fired if anyone found out you told how much you get cost for. I sold car audio for 7 years and yes you get perks for working there, most of the time you can go dircet to the reps and get it even less then the store you work for can buy it, once again a perk for working in the industry. But you start telling people what cost is and reps will hunt you down and cause problems. Good for you, but keep it under wraps.
that's nothing.. at the shop I just started working at I get the JL 1000.1 (retails for $1,000 US) for $267 don't even get me started on how much I get W7s for... and no.. I won't be hooking anyone up.. cept the civic.. ooooooooooh man

I get Rainbow and Arc at 10% over dealer cost... ...think of it this way your average car audio mar up between distributor/rep and dealer is 50% between dealer and consumer is 80%
ex.. Distro cost $100, Dealer cost $150.. Customer cost $240...
With some brands it's alot worse..like Crossfire.. Distro cost CAD is $263.. Dealer cost is $489.. MSRP is $1200CAD..dealers sell for $950ish...but car audio shops need to charge this much due to overhead costs just as taxes, heating, rent/mortgage..stocking costs...paying installers..paying salesman....paying for tools...it's very expensive to run a shop...
Where I used to work about 70g' went through the shop in product value and install fees each month.. Gross Profit was say 30g's.. Payroll for 1 Master installer 2 1st class and 3 Certified.. about $15k with overtime., of land taxes/mortage $6k heating/elect.. $1200 summer $2400 winter...Commisions for sales $3k ..so that's $5k/month profit for the owner...on;y $60k/year CAD ($40kUS).. not too impressive for one of Montreals more successful shops..
