"This example was a badly-installed Nitrous Express kit (not to be confused with the NoS brand). They wired up the heater directly to 12v (not on a temp switch) and left it on. Then they had TWO pressure release vents on - instead of one - which doubled the emergency release pressure. The car owner claims a malfuntioning safety valve/disc/cap. (?)"

that is older then dirt.
The MORON who owned that did a few things wrong. the 2 worst being
A) he rigged his bittle heater to stay on ALL THE TIME even when his car is off (for those of you who dont know, higher bottle temp = higher bottle pressure). He didnt even wire a preset tempature or PSI cut off.
and
B) he doubles up on the safty blow off valve. this effectivly blocked the primary venting from excaping when the bottle pressure reached the critical point.
on top of that this was a 15 Lb bottle, 5 lbs larger then the standard 10 lb bottle you usually see.
Yes, hes a moron, and no this really does not effect Nitrous and safty issues unless you too, are a moron.
