mercedes sportcoupe or accord coupe?
OK, next year I´m planning on trading the civic and I have these two options, each has its benefits, what do you think:
mercedes 200k sportcoupe. My brother works for DC so I can get a good deal on the car. Love the looks BUT I live in Mexico and don´t want to get kidnapped for driving a Mercedes. Still, its a Mercedes.
OR
Accord coupe. would get the v6 with all the goodies. Not as fancy as the MB, but (believe it or not) Hondas are the least stolen cars in Mexico. Also like the looks a lot, havent actually seen it (only pics).
Probably both cars would go for about the same price. What do you think?

go with the accord v6 for sure. i work at a dealer and have only driven the sedan v6 with 5 spd automatic tranny -- the thing rips..... the coupe looks hotter in the pictures i see and is FINALLY coming with a manual 6 spd tranny -- and s2k shift **** it looks like =) that thing should be a rocket ship, it might run with the s2k -- who knows? a little heavier though
I think you should go with the mercedes. My pops works at a mercedes dealership as a service manager so i always get to see the new cars before they come out. sometimes he takes me on little test drives. the mercedes is very safe and is worth the money i think.

If you're talking about the C230 hatch, get the Accord. The Sport coupe is more of a euro style mercedes and while the luxury is still there, its not like a C or E class sedan. According to many reviews, the car is poorly layed out and not really up to Benz's usual standards. In addition to that, 245 HP is more than 192.
I would consider the Accord Coupe V6 over the C230 Sport Coupe.
V6 is still a V6, and not a supercharged 4-cylinder. Also like others have said, the C230 is a poor man's Mercedes and doesn't live up to typical Mercedes-Benz build quality. Actually from what my friend tells me, who's family has always owned Mercedes-Benz cars, most of the cars built in the U.S. (C, M) are inferior to the German-built models (CLK, S, E, SLK, CL, SL).
Plus, for approximately the same price you're going to get a lot more equipment with the Accord Coupe V6. The C230 does not have a lot of stuff at that price. You're going to have to pay for metallic paint (if you don't like flat white, red, black), HID, the panarama sunroof, leather, etc.
Plus Honda Accord resale, reliability, value, build quality will be superior to the C230.
Not to mention next year's V6 will be around 245hp.

I study in Monterrey, Mexico, so i could advise you that if you live in Mexico city, you should definetly buy a low profile car, the accord is much safer. . .
And of course, the insurance is more expensive, as well as the dealers charge way more than they should here in mexico
