save yourself 150 bucks and DIY it, also you could probably find most of the stuff for 10x cheaper online... autotoys.com or knukonceptz for the amp kit, try nextag.com to find prices on the other stuff... i think IKEsound.com is haveing a sale on the alpine's... that eems like a hefty price to me...

$280 for the Alpine Components???

$179 with Free Shipping

$220 for the Alpine 6x9s????

You can handle the DIY for this install, it takes some time but its not too hard. Good Luck

go buy some standard spacers for 6.5 inch speakers, and dont rag on my blocks of wood, and they aren't blocks, theyre rings... im sure the mdf the rings are made out of does some good in catching the vibration...and the DIY might seem hard at first, but once you get going, you'll be done in no time... it's actually quite fun.

Here is the tip that Mo would probably give, were he around more often these days: save the money you're gonna spend on those rear speakers and buy a decent HU. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Trust me.

Even just getting the hu and no new speakers, period, will improve SQ in your car like you wouldn't believe. And don't give us that crap about a smooth finish with the factory HU...just bite the bullet and get a good HU and an adapter, they are everywhere and they are MADE to make the install look smooth

Good luck...oh, and don't be a sucker and let some strangers install your goodies....you're only going to learn how to do this stuff if you get in there and do it yourself. Start real early on a saturday morning and give yourself all day...take youre time, that's key! And keep sunday free too in case you dont quite finish saturday. You will appreciate the install a lot more in the end. AND you will have learned something.

And lastly, if you're putting speakers in the doors you will need pretty thick spacers. I have 5.25s components in mine and I had to make 1 inch spacers to get them in. CUSTOM-MADE, Homemade MDF spacers will be better than those storebought plastic rings any day.
