Ok guys Im going to be buying new tires very soon i was wondering what yall think would be better. I'm going to be driving down to fl. with them too so they have to be good for distance driving. If yall can help me out I woulld appreciate it. Right now im running 205/45zr 17 I want a lower profile tire and one to put more tire on the road.

there may not be a big change from only a 10 mm different wider and then its also taller, may effect the speedometer ,do ur calc and to make sure its the same or near the same overall diameter of the wheel amd tire

Whatever size you get, it would be smarter to put the stock wheels and tires back on before a long road trip. That way you don't have to worry about the chance of damaging your new rims or tires.

hey 02civicex no offense and this is not to flame but why would i go with 215 40's if the roads are crappy the maean the tires are wider and the side wall is smaller. the 215 is the width of the tire and the 40 is the percentage of sidewall to the tread. so if i were to get 215 40 tha means the roads would haev to be in good shape and with 205 the roads can be crappy. sorry jsut wanted to let u know. But thanx gusy well dont worry about messing up my rims My rims got torn up pretty bad at the tire shop the other day. and no i have to go back to the store and see what i can do about replacing them. thanx for the help guys

Go for 205/40/17, if you want a wider tire than get 215's but just make sure that your car is not dropped to low or else your gonna wear out your tires quick. Good luck,
