is my sub blown (kickers 10" comp VR)

I got a kicker COMP VR 10", i think it's rated for 300 watts. I hooked it up to my friend's 600 watt amp and the center part was bounceing a helluvalot! he said it might have been blown. Anyone have this and is it suppose to be like that? Thanks in advance.

i blew my JL 12 inch w3 and i didn't even know until the shop told me...they said my amp keeps going into protection mode when it was hooked up...then i replaced it and didn't do that anymore...but i couldn't even hear the difference when it was hooked up to my other amp before the amp smoked up...how can you tell its blown??
