If you're planning on putting dual exhaust on there, don't expect any extra horsepower. You actually may end up losing HP and torque because you now are trying to expell the exhaust gasses out of 2 holes, instead of one. You won't get enough backpressure that way. And, with the OEM rear, it's going to look goofy as you only have a cutout for 1 exhaust tip. But hey man, it's your car - you decide what you want to do.

Do it if you want... But you're either going to have to cut another hole in the OEM bumper (it'll look dumb without it) or get something like the Kaminari rear bumper which begs for dual exhaust. You'll probably want to use smaller piping after it splits just to try to keep the pressure up a little more, using dual 2.5" piping is not going to be good for HP.

To members on this site got a dual exhaust, and they had a custum Y pipe made so that the exhaust would be distributed equally, do the SEARCh, it's been talked about before, if it's done right you don't have to lose power or torque..........

yeah... don't expect to get any power out of it. i'm considering doing it just for aesthetic purposes... i'd like the back end to be symmetrical...

"dual exhaust has no business on a 4-banger"? go look at an audi tt, a4... hell, even a pontiac sunfire! again, not like it's gonna do anything for performance... but it just looks better.

Anyway, it looks ok, but I don't think I could justify the cost of doing it. Do whatever makes you happy though.

My opinion is do not go for dual exhaust unless you are gonna get a good after market kit. Do not try to split the exhaust pipe. YOu would be a lot better off with single 2.5'' exhaust pipe for more pressure through a single exit. I also need someones opinion, I have a 93 Civic Hatchback with a B16b. I was gonna try to order a 4-1 JDM DC Sports header with cuts the exhaust pipe and puts the muffler at the end of the headers. These are very illegal but I only use the car but once a month when i go to Palmdale. On a regular I drive a 4dr Civic LX and I want to drop a k20. DO you think the DC JDM headers would be a good idea?

Ok everyone always askes about dual exahust and everyone tells people that you lose hp if you go with it. Well, I have duals and so does assasin. Me and the guys that did our exhaust came up with a system that you wont lose hp. I gained hp after having this system installed. If anyone is interesed in know how the system was built IM me at AIM OakleyOverTheTop. Heres a pic if you all havent seen it yet.

Go for it! Duals are awesome. You should have a body kit though or you will have to cut the OEM bumper to make it look better. Dont listen to that backpressure crap. I took my factory muffler off and ran just a straight pipe out the back. It sounds great and definitely increased my power. I switched back and forth between the stock muffler and the straight pipe 3 times so I could make sure I actually gained power and it did! So, with the exception of the resonator, I have no back pressure. It has a nice deep tone too! Im actually thinking about adding a Y pipe to it now so I can have duals and no muffler. Do your own thing and dont worry about what everyone else thinks.
