Double din unit
I know that Alpine & Clarion offer double din head units. Would I be able to put the cage that holds the unit into the double opening in the Civic or would it be easier to install a head unit & seperate cd changer unit. I know that Blaupunkt sell a 5 cd changer unit that is the same size as single din unit.

Yes it can be done no problem.. but there's currently no install kit for it so you'd have DIY one

Just get an aftermarket changer and mount it under the drivers seat.
