People say the springs have to "seat" i dont believe in that, takes a few hours if it hasnt dropped by then then it wont. But you have goldlines and they give you the "no sag" guarantee, i wish i had purchased goldlines, i heard they give good customer service, so give them a shot tommorrow if nothing changes i am sure they wil be glad to help you. Btw Use the search button, everyone covers this SAME topic when they start, and we got like 3,00 members or whatever.

sorry but nope. usually only the rear drops a lil more during the next 2 days or so. not sure whats wrong with your goldlines tho, i've been hearing more and more complaints lately. not sure if its the springs themselves or people just arent installing them right.

Please substantiate your statement regarding "hearing more and more cpmplaints lately". "If" someone has a problem with Gold Line springs, Gold Line takes care of the problem. Also, springs seat onto rubber pads in both front & rear. The most common issue we run into is the fact that we offer a specific kit for the 2 door & the 4 door. If the proper kit is not used on the designated application there will be problems. Problems unrelated to Gold Line, rather the distributor who sold the springs.

One other thing to keep in mind, which I've mentioned in previous threads, fender wells are cut higher in the front than in the rear. This will often give the appearance that the rear is sitting lower than the front. In order to eliminate this, the vehicle would need to sit consiberably higher in the rear to compensate for the difference in fender well gaps. In other words, there would be a noticable rake to the vehicles ride height. This is purely up to the individuals preference.

Once again, if anyone ever has any questions regarding Gold Line springs, please feel free in contacting us toll free @ 877-671-9752.

well i guess it was just that, people not being satisfied with the drop it gives. most people, including I, think an even drop is decided upon the fender well gap. i have forgotten that goldline goes by ground clearance.

Tricky's complaint not about the noise cause i'm sure its an installation issue but about the ride height.
i cant find the other one but i know there was someone else that complained about the ride height.

i will try to make it clear that goldlines do infact give an even drop ground clearance wise, but not fender gap wise. maybe the suspension FAQ would be a good place... and as for "If someone has a problem with Gold Line springs, Gold Line takes care of the problem", goldline has prooved to me that their customer service is great. i really appreciate the fact that you take your time to come to this board and clear things up a bit. neither neuspeed nor eibach has come on this board to answer questions but goldline has shown they want to hear what the consumer has to say/think about their products.
one thing you might take into consideration is the "problem" we have here. like i have said, ALOT of people here consider an even drop by looking at the fender gap and not ground clearance(whether or not this is the right way to look at a drop). most people dont like the fender gap in the rear to be smaller in the front. i know this is a matter of preference and that your not going to change the springs to sit evenly fender gap wise but maybe it would clear alot of things up if you mentioned it on your website. maybe in like a FAQ page.
but ya i really appreciate you clearing things out for us here...

btw goldline, i have a question...
a while back we were discussing spring rates and how a spring rate of 300 means that for 300 lbs of weight put on the spring it will lower it an inch. however since we have 4 springs on our car and the weight gets distributed, 300lbs of stereo equipment isnt going to lower the car an inch more in the rear but only about .4 of an inch right?(since the 2 rear springs holds most of the weight while the front 2 still holds a small part of it). just wanted to clear things up.

Fair enough. But do keep in mind, these are not just rules that apply to Gold Line. I dealt with these situations all day at Eibach as well. The closer the fender well drops to the tire, the greater the deception becomes.

In regards to spring rate, yes, weight is distributed across the rear springs or across the front springs(usually, one or the other). However, there are other variables as well. One important variable is where the additional weight is located. There are leverage factors that need to be taken into account. Now I dont want to start splitting hairs but, all of these details are part of the equation.
