OEM CD changer jammed! What to do?
WTF! It's only been like 2 months since I got it, and my OEM CD changer has jammed up!
Basically it finished playing disc 4, went to switch to disc 5, and it took a long time then just said "Err" on the display. I futzed around with it some, and it started to play. Finished disc 5 and goes to switch to 6, same thing happens and now I can't get it to do anything at all. Damn thing won't even eject the discs!
I don't really want to have to take it to the dealer for something like this (changer is covered under warranty, but since I installed it myself, I'd still have to pay labor) but what else can I do? It's got 6 of my CDs and 300 of my dollars!
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks. Looks like I'll be calling up the dealer tomorrow.
Oh well. If that's the worst thing that goes wrong with my car, I guess I'm in pretty good shape

BLARGH
They won't be able to look at it until next Tuesday!!!! How am I going to drive to the beach and back this weekend!? I'm going to have to listen to the RADIO
I know, I lead a tough life.
If any one has any suggestions on ways I might be able to fix it in the meantime, I'll be listening

Actually, this is kinda funny. I took it to the dealer today and here's the procedure:
They send the unit back to Honda (or maybe Alpine? Tech just said "distributor").
Honda sends a replacement which will be here in a week.
Honda dismantles the old changer and extracts the CDs.
Honda then mails my CDs back to me!
It's madness!

I bought a toshiba changer from sam's like 10 years ago. That **** did the same thing. Sent it off and got a newer and better model back. A few weeks later I got 4 of the 6 cds that were in there. The discs were so messed up they wouldn't play anymore though. I don't particularly like changers since that happend. The new one they sent me is still in the box, never been touched. Imagine that, a brand-new 10 yr old cd changer....LOL

Doh!
Hope I have better luck than that. Good news is, the service is free. Hooray for warranty.
