JRSC super charged EX v.s. Me
So Im on my way home last night from my friends house. He had a 13itchin' party, so it was pretty late when I made the drive back... probably ~ 3:30 AM or so. I make it down the 10 mile stretch of freeway, and make my exit. I get off the freeway, and start heading down the 5 mile length of road that leads back to my housing development.
About half way down I see a pair of ricer blue headlights speeding up behind me. The light up ahead starts to change, so I stop my car, instead of blowing through the yellow.
A few seconds later I see a red ~95-97 Civic EX coupe pull up next to me. The guy had 18" Koning Monsoons on it with some low pro rubber band tires, a good 2.5+" drop, N1 style exhaust, "touring" wing, wings west body kit (which he gets points for having painted the same color as his car), and a big *** "JACKSON RACING" banner across his rear 1/4 panel and on his windshield banner. His windows also had the uber tint, but I could still see his indaglow gauges, pillar mount pod gauges, dash mounted monster tach, and his passenger with a camcorder. Just then he rolls his window down...
Him: "You wanna run?"
Me: "You wanna lose?"
Him: [laughing] "Yea right dawg, my boy heres SUPERCHARGED! Dont you know, what this is?! [points to the 4' long "Jackson Racing" logo on the car]
I just smile and toss a few revs his way.
By this time the cross street was about to get a red light, so I brought my revs up and staged, as did he. The passenger is talking MAD fecal "yea, kick his *** man! That $hits almost stock!" as the light turns green. I didnt want him to get even a bit of pull, so I decided to arm in 1st and leave the line with a 3500 RPM dump of the clutch. I got a bit of engine bogging, then the nitrous kicked in (4K RPM initiation via my window switch), and I just PULL. The 1/2 car jump the EX had was gone in a few seconds, and he was at my rear 1/4 panel by the end of 1st. 2nd came And I pulled even harder on him... I swear the N/A GTS Celica with I/E and VAFC that I raced kept up better then this guy... by far. I baby it into 3rd, shifting at 7K RPM from 2nd as not to grind my screwed synchro in that gear, and keep on the gas till the end of 3rd at ~ 82 MPH. I shut down with MULTIPLE lengths on the guy, then proceed to move over into his lane, to get on the brakes and slow down... just to rub it in a bit.
I come to another stop light, and wait, but the guy pulls into the turn lane (which has a red arrow). His friend rolls down his window again and says "Man, you got lucky we were spinning so much off the line, If I was driving you’d be [and he says something like "flubbar", but I got the general idea]...." His arrow then turned green, and he made his u turn to go back down the other way.... his friend was no longer filming.

Another nice kill story from Joe.
Anyhow, if I was the other guy, I would loose those monsoons that may as well be lead weights, lose the stickers (forgo the hp loss), the body kit, the wing, and all that other bs he has going on in the car. He'd have a nice little sleeper and a nice looking car to boot.

Joe, I remember a thread where you kinda "put down" 17" rims and how 15" was the "way to go" or something to that extent. I also remember a thread where you defended your decision on 17's. Do you remember what you said?

The most hilarious part is that the guy was sayin they were "spinning so much off the line".
A sub 150HP car spinning off the line... I mean that'd take real talent to manage to spin a lot off the line with a civic.... or utter incompetence. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]Your story woulda been perfect if his car swerved out of control and hit a pole, ridding the world of one less car to pester the roads.

Hey Joe, how is your Nitrous set to engage? When you floor it after a certain RPM? Or do you have a button you push (yes, like in F&F, but that's the only way I've seen it).
Thanks.

there is a master arming switch

When this is armed, the nitrous is ready to be used. it is only activated though, when i floor it via a throttle mounted toggle switch. this occurs only between 4K and 7800 RPM due to my MSD RPM activated window switch.

So let me see if my newbie mind comprehends this. You arm your system, and then, if the throttle is wide open and the rpm is between 4k and 7800, the N2O is spraying. Correct?
Sounds easier than a push button. Can you adjust the rpms at which it sprays?
At first I was like, 7800 rpm? Holy redline. But then I remembered you have an Si
