my lil theory.. prove me right..

ok, here it goes..

i drive an AT. and at the rate im driving, my trans will break after my warranty is up most likely. or my dealership is stupid and wont fix it under warranty. so then if i goto a junk yard and buy a MT. would i be cheaper if not same price compared to just gettin my AT rebuilt?

this is true, if you are tlaking about component wise, because the manual tranny is about 1/3 the price of the auto tranny, but the labor might cost ya more to make up for that difference, i would get a quote on labor froma local shop, or honda.

lol why, you have to figure in more than just the cost of the tranny there bud. You will need pedals, new guage clusters , new shifter, new clutch, clutch plate.. ect ect.. You need alot more than just the tranny. I would call the shop and find out EVERYTHING you need to do the swap. Also why would honda not cover the tranny if ur still under 36k miles?

OH yeah i forgot to add, you dont have to go to the dealership you baught ur car from to get your car fixed. You can go to any honda dealership with a service center and get it fixed. Why dont you try other dealerships first?

A lot comes with a AT - MT conversion. Most shops won't even want to do a job like that.

gosh. for the cosh, I'll just save up for a custom turbo.

yesterday I drove a 95 ex with a greddy turbo running at 11.5 psi (thats over 200 wheel hp) and when I got back in my 01 ex 5spd, I felt like I was walking.

I duno, a tranny swap is a waste of money. u might as well trade in for a 02 or 03 civic with a stick.. that may even cost less!
