What in the hell is this guy thinking?
I didnt have time to take a picture of the front, but it looked like a tsunami bumper...not to mention the Si emblem on the front fender.

if you took off the rice crap like the second level of the wing and the "si" emblem, and that was an actual 5 litre, it would be nice

A. A 5.0L better beat a 1.7L.
B. I don't care, I'd take my Honda over a Ford anyday

I own a civic and I finally came to terms with the fact that they are SLOW!!! As for spending money to upgrade them, a mustang makes more HP dollar for dollar spent on it. An 87-93 LX 5.0L weighs in at 2900lbs. Now, the stock engine is 225HP and 275ft-lbs of torque. Now, you can easily extract 300HP at the wheels in a mustang. The result is one quick car. It would be easy and cheaper for someone to make a mustang an 11 second car than a turbo civic. There is no replacement for displacement! And on day soon, I'll be owning a V8!

I personally think import drivers are more j3rks and a$$holes than mustang/camaro drivers! And I live in a mustang/camaro infested city! I am starting to think that import cars get more police attention than muscle cars nowadays.

1. they break down fast
2. really bad gaz milage
3. expensive maintainance for a relatively cheap car
4. huge road noise even not on highway (depend if you like Lexus feel or not, people can prefer mustang huge engine sound, but for me it sound cheap)
5. Poor handling ability relative to its power

that about it, otherwise it is not too bad for its price...

And the reason that imports get more attention than mustang/camaro owners is because of one thing: Fast and the Furious, since that movie came out, cope consider all of us law-breakers and drug users

Oh, this just begs for a flame war. But I'm not falling for it. You can take your import hating somewhere else for a flame war. I'm sure everyone here has seen it all before.

I've had Fords, Chevys, Nissan, VW, and Hondas. And I'll tell you the truth. The american brands have come a long way since the POS cars they tried to sell in the 70's and 80's. They're better because the german and japanese models MADE them increase their reliability and mileage. Competition is good! But the imports have also become better cars.

I'll also tell you that after all the experience I've had with domestic and imports, I'll prefer an import, specifically Honda, over the domestics anyday. I traded a '96 SHO v8 for my civic, and I don't regret it one bit! I've also had a ford ranger (POS) before, and it was traded, eventually, for a Nissan hardbody. That truck is still chugging along with over 100k miles and it's only had oil changes, brakes and a battery replacement!

not really...

import modification wave started long before the movie.

From japan to HK, taiwan and some contry in asia...then finally the trend come to america.

THE MOVIE INSPIRED BY TH TREND, not the trend inspired by the movie. But I think the movie exagerate the performance of the import a bit...make them like god.

I like imports (both jap and euro) and only drive imports (both jap and euro) because of prestige and reliability. But I think domestics are those which should be faster in straight line. FAst and furious should have only use domestics if they know the reality. However, no one will probably go see it then.

Yes but cops started targeting imports more after the movie was made, or at least that is how it seems in the IL area.
