Goldlines+215/40/17=rubbing and no wheel gap?

Goldlines+215/40/17=rubbing and no wheel gap?
I heard somewhere that 215/40/17 will rub with goldlines and it will give me no wheel gap. Is this true? Anybody have this setup? If so, please post pics. Thanx

Rep Power: 418 i dont have goldlines or 17s but i do have 215-40-18 with neuspeed sports(very similar drop to goldlines)... i have 1 finger gap all around and do not rub, so chances are your not going to rub but you are going to have about a 1 1/2 finger gap since those tires are 1" smaller in diameter then mine.(so it would make it .5" bigger fender gap).

Rep Power: 0 I have goldlines and 215/40/17, They DO NOT rub at all. I have a 2 finger gap in the rear and a 1 and a half gap in the front. I love it. Sorry no pics cuz my pos scanner wont work with windows xp

Rep Power: 0 I have 215/40/18 with Neuspeed Sports. They don't rub while driving, but when i hit certain bumps, or hit a bump turning it will rub. I haven't gotten an alignment since I put the 2 door springs and there is a little negative camber so i'm assuming it will be fixed when i get an alignment, but unfortunately, i don't think it will. Any suggestions?

Rep Power: 418 you rub? the front or back? cause ya mine dont rub at all even if i do hit a big bump(well maybe cause i dont have a camber kit yet). if its the rear, you might want to try rolling your fenders a bit.

Rep Power: 418 i havnt done this yet but i tried it a lil and it seemed to work... since your car is dropped... jack up your car a lil so that you could fit a baseball bat in between the tire and fender. start from one side and work your way around(just remember you cant do this to plastic [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG] ) stick the bat in and push it down towards the inside of the rim. not sure if i'm explaining it right so if i find the DIY again i'll post it up...
