I just install other day my Injen CAI well it sounds bad *** and all but it sounds alot different went I turn off the enigne. Here's one thing went I came home after showing some firend on the way home last night I stop the car on a side street to see what was making a sssshhhh sound I pop the hode to see what was up and I look and see the intake tude had pop off I guest I didn't have the camlp on good. I have no idea how long I was diving around like that I guess about 30 mins. I fixed the problem. But went I turn off the enigne it sound different. Does anyone else off this after installing a CAI? Which clamp came off? The one by the filter? the middle joint? the throttle body clamp? My car makes the Swisssshhhh sound when you shut it off and all my clamps are on there as tight as I could get them. if something came undone and you were sucking in dirty air, you may have problems. The swish when you turn the engine off seems to be a normal thing. I've been checking mine regularly (installed monday) and haven't had any problems keeping the clamps tight. Injen puts a shoulder on the pipe ends, make sure the clamps are attached outside of those shoulders and the pipe should never come apart.

Anyone else having difficulty reading his posts? You need to brush up on your English. Anyway, double check your clamps to make sure they are tight. The sound you hear from your intake when you turn your engine off is normal.

hey man no having it off the car for short of time will not hurt ur engine unless u wet thru a dust storm or something. But all that noise is; is ur intake letting out the extra air. becuae ur intake is alwasy sucking if fresh air when u turn ur car off all the built up air is released. it happens to all cars with any aftermarket intakes. it is fine.

My apologies. I should've rephrased what I said. Gryphin, calm down. I'm just trying to tell him to use better English so that it would be easier for us to read. No hostilities intended.

The sound is normal. Ever turn off a vacuum cleaner and you hear the noise winding down and a shhhh sound. Same effect with the CAI. Also your car should be fine, just retighten the clamps and you should be good to go.
