want to lower ex with 18's,,,,,need opinions...

I wish to lower my car about 1-1.25 inches. I dont want any factory shock issues and Dont care for the slammed look. Merely want to clear up a bit of wheel well gap. What is the best option? I am rolling on 215/40/18's. How far can I go without sacraficing smooth ride, shock life, needing a camber kit,, etc...

thanks in advance-
Keith

get the Eibach Pro kit if u dont want any problems its about a 1-1.2 inch drop....
but i would recommend the sportlines a 1.5-1.7 inch drop and get the rear camber kit no need for front camber
peace

get the eibachs. Always get a camber kit when you lower to be on the safe side. I got my goldlines and a full camber kit for 322 from rob at tornactive.

Sportline kit would be just about right for looks and for ride. Its about an 11/2 inch drop.

since u don't wanna sacrifice ride quality, shocks, gettin camber kit.. then i think eibach prokits would be just right for you

please please do not get prokit....IMO it does kill the gap but doesn't kill it enough and is a waste of money.
i have neuspeed sports and have the same exact tire size as you. 215-40-18 falken 512s. i dropped my car about a month ago and just got my rims a week ago. even with the neuspeed sports, my car looks stock with no wheel gap. since the tires are bigger then stock it raise my car about .6". if i would have gotten the prokit it would probably still look like a rally car. but ya since your not looking for the slammed look and only looking to kill the fender gap i suggest a drop around 1.75. i dont rub, dont scrape. it doesn't look slammed yet i only have 1 finger gap all around. camber kit, i think i need it for the rear after looking at my tires. shock, they are still fine after 3-4 months and should probably last another year atleast.
as for the brand, eibach sportlines are great but for $50 cheaper you could get something thats just as good. neuspeed sports or goldlines. but ya if you know me, i always recommend neuspeeds

Yeh, don't get the pro kit, sportlines should be safe without rubbing. Shocks is a must in the future.

drop zone coilovers are about 120 or even 100. but when it comes to sleeved coilovers, i think you get what you paid for... however i dont think that is true when it comes to springs.. so ya my suggestion would be to stay away from drop zone coilovers.
