Help: Clifford IQ7000 or AutoPage 750LCD?

I've decided to get a car alarm at Kromer Radio (www.kromerradio.com) located downtown...very reputable.

Clifford IQ 700 (I think is the same as the Intelligard 7000): $669 + $20 (hood pin) + $39 (trunk release) + $69 (power locks) programming + tax
AutoPage USA 750LCD ~ $1000 + tax (comes with pager, remote start, and other goodies)

The Clifford alarm doesn't have the pager available yet, but when it does, will cost $349CDN!

Those are pretty darned steep prices to pay for an alarm... How much did you guys with the CompuStar's get it for? I'm thinking it would be a good idea for me to get a pager, since I park on the street alot....

Suggestions, comments?

A general question for REMOTE START (auto) is: can you turn OFF your car?? (example: it's freezing cold, so I start up the car to warm it up. 5 mins later I decide I'm not gonna go out, so I wanna turn off the car... is this possible?)
