Springs + Shocks

What are the best springs, in your opinion/experience, for a 7th generation civic? AND do aftermarket springs work well with the stock shocks???

I guess it depends on what kind of drop you like... A lot of people here have H&R's, Neuspeed and Eibachs... They're roughly the same price. Our shocks are ok with aftermarket springs, but you'll have to change them eventually. Koni's are good, I'm not too sure who else makes shocks for us yet...

If you wanna keep the stock shocks, your best bet is the Eibach Prokit, as that is supposed to be the least drop (1"), i.e., leaving the closest-to-stock compression for your shocks.

I'm on Eibach Sportlines, and the ride is very harsh on bumps downtown. I'm waiting for other companies to come out with shocks before I switch, since as good as Koni's are supposed to be, half the people with them seem to have problems... Plus installing is a pain on those.

If you have the cash now, I'd say try for true coilovers. That way you can even raise the car for the winter!

H&R Sport works well with the stock shocks... 1.3 lower....

I've heard that Nuespeed and Eihbac sags at the back without aftermarket shocks

h&r and neuspeed sport go well with Koni Yellows

but my koni's are fine with my H & Rs

h&r's so far have cause saggin, especially in the 4door, but neuspeeds lower the front .25" more than the rear to eliminate this effect.

What about Tein? Have they come out with springs for the 7th gen civic? I heard those were the best, or one of the best. I dont mind getting new shocks, it's not that I don't want to buy them, its just that some stock cars have good enough shocks. Like a friend of mine says his Prelude shocks are fine with aftermarket springs...and S2000 shocks dont need to be changed either, but then again, thats a WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY better car!!!

Thanks for the Help!!!

Eibach Sportline - no sag. Back still slightly high to maintain the aggressive stance.

I am loving my Sportline. It'll actually lower slightly more, I have a two finger gap right now.

People here may think different, but IMHO name is pretty important, and Eibach has the biggest name out there. I'm sure Eibach has their reason not to do the full 1.7"~2.2" drop they usually do to the Sportlines on our cars, that's why I went with them.

Although, not to **** anyone else off, H&R and Neuspeeds also seem to be pretty popular.

The way our economy is, I'd have thought $750US translates into $50000CDN??!! j/k

BTW, stuff coming from the States over $200US is subject to brokerage *and* duty. Probably cost you an arm and all your legs.
