my nak died?

So I installed my nak HU 2 or 3 weeks ago, or whatever. worked great, until a couple days ago. now nothing comes out of any speakers. it just died when i turned the volume down. it started working again last night, when i started pushing every button on the thing, but died again, when i turned the volume down. then i unplugged everything from the back, and reconnected it. and it worked, until i hit a bump and it died. I haven't been able to get it back since. wtf?

I bought this thing brand new, off ebay. Nakamichi 45Z. now what do i do? get a McIntosh?

Ouch dude, I was considering getting that deck or the Clarion HX-D10 for $269 shipped at onlinecarstereo.com . I was a little hesistant on the Nak because i heard that they had some problems playing CDR's and the disc gets stuck sometimes. They filed for chapter 11 recently so I don't know what kind of support you can get for it. I'd contact the seller and get a replacement or contact EBAY and have them go after the seller. A McIntosh would be nice, that or Eclipse. Sorry dude.

take it to a pro installer an have them check it out. It sounds like a wire could be loose.

The deck itself? or a wire on the harness?

Another question. I don't have any amps hooked up to this thing right now. is there a way to tell if there's output on the RCA's? I could just amp my entire system. lol. just a thought

Amping the entire system is good .. just take a volt meter..turn the HU on and test for voltage across the center pin and outer ring on the RCA's.

Check the harnesses for any loose wires or connections.. if all is good. it may be a problemw ith the HU's internal amp

*snif snif* it was so clear. lol. well i'll get on it. my cars going in for bodywork tommarow so i'll get to work when i get it back. I assume i should wait on contacting the seller till i know if it's the install or the deck. i doubt he'll do much anyhow.
