Best tires for stock LX/DX/HX wheels

I can't afford new rims and tires right now and i want to get new tires for my 14" steelies because the stock firestones suck big time. What are some good tires? I want something thats really sticky.

I've asked this same question a while ago and got no answer. I just had my tires rotated @ 8,000mi, the front ones were fried! I need some better ones too, those suck-butt Firestones don't hold the road for crap, and skip like a *****.

i dont see why the same tires you get for rims wont work for the stock wheels. i think sears has falken ze or whatever...and im sure they have those in the stock wheel size. ive heard yokohama avid h4's are pretty good (rated H, but its not like we can go faster than 130mph anyways LOL), whalentire.com has them for $43 each. bridgestone potenzas are pretty good i hear, im sure they have the stock sizes at firestone stores, dont know how much they cost tho.
i need new tires to, but i just rotated at 10k, so i think it should last me till i can get my rims and tires.
