Check this out...

Contact them if you have any problem...basic of a warranty with aftermarket parts is this....if the dealership or person working on the vehicle can prove that the aftermarket part caused the problem, then it will void the warranty on that part.

Auto Parts Customer's Bill of Rights
You have the right to buy high-quality, reliable aftermarket performance and replacement parts- an affordable and convenient alternative to the vehicle maker's parts.

You have the right to use high-quality aftermarket parts and know that your new car warranty claims will be honored. In fact, your vehicle dealer may not reject a warranty claim simply because an aftermarket product is present. A warranty denial in such circumstances may be proper only if the aftermarket part caused the failure being claimed.

You have the right to patronize independent retail stores for vehicle parts and installation. The U.S. aftermarket offers the world's finest selection of performance and replacement parts, accessories and styling options. These aftermarket products satisfy the most discriminating customers seeking personalized vehicles for today's lifestyle.

The foregoing message is brought to you by SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association. If you would like further information on what to do and who to call if your new car warranty is denied, call the Federal Trade Commission at 202-326-3128. To receive expanded information on warranty denial, call 1-800-514-SEMA (7362). Your rights are protected through the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act, 15 USC, 2302, and the Clean Air Act, 42 USC, 7541

Sounds like he's playing a "head game" with you... By the way, what were you in there for ? What were you talking about that would make him so upset that would make him want to void your car ?

b!tch argue and complain and threaten to call honda north america and the owner of the dealership. or better yet send a letter to the svc manager with a cc: at the bottom to the owner of the dealership, better business bureau, and honda north america. it gets you attention real quick and problems get solved real quick. Another thing people overlook are the big news channels channels in the area have consumer action squads that will help you take your side and give the dealer bad publicity on national TV for free....

The last one you want to contact for help is Honda NA. Those cocky heads forgot about customer satisfaction long time ago.

Yea, go one step higher and contact American Honda about this issue. The dealer cannot do that to you.

OT: Firefly: how does the clutch and shifter on your P5 compare with your previous EL?

The throw is longer than the EL. The action has a slight rubbery feel now but I'm still breaking it in. But since the P5 has a rod mechanism instead of cable shifter in the EL it feels very solid and I like the way it transmit the feedback from the tranny. I should be able to shift faster without binding the cable like I did in my EL. I've order a B&M short shifter and will change the tranny fluid after the break in. I heard the B&M shortens the throw a lot.

Clutch action is very smooth and very easy to modulate. The engagement point on mine is about 2" from the bottom. The free play at the top is less than the EL..about 1" on the P5 and 2" on my EL. Overall travel is less than the EL. But the clutch doesn't feel it grab as hard...again maybe a break in issue.

Your dealership is suck! The best way to hurt them is to spread out this to everyone u know in ur area...

Let's dun talk about the warranty for a while or assumed the warranty is void

I think you have the RIGHT to ask them not to take picture since u are the owner not them. If they dun get your premission, I dun think they can take photo or your car.......

If I were you, maybe I will do some B.S. thing. At first, ask them to say sorry. If they dun, B.S. you have some relative is lawyer and u will just make this small thing BIG.....just B.S. B.S. and B.S. with them.

Of course, NEVER GO BACK TO THIS DEALER TO HAVE SERIVE AGAIN!

I think before u contact Honda N.A., try to see if u are able to find the owner or broad of director of the dealership or not....try ask your salesperson of how to get in touch with these people.

I had the same problem!! Anytime to Mod. your car what ever you mod to void the warrenty. If you Clear your headlights you void you headlight warrenty. If you install anything into the electrical you void the electrical warrenty. If you lower your car you void all the suspention warrenty and the transmission and the intake pretty much takes car of the rest of the warrenty!!

have to prove that they cause the problem to the car, if they didn;t then they can't deny your warrenty work
