should I get 16's or 17's

Im trying to decide if I want to get 17's or 16's. I live in Indiana and the roads are pretty bad and I dont want to have to worry about popped tires, bent rims or bad rubbing. I would have to use 50 series tire or the 16's and a 45 on the 17's, do you think it would be good to have the extra cushion of the 50 series? Either way I am going to get Enkei rs5's or rsf2's. Tell me what you think. Sorry for the dumb *** post on the other board

I've got the new Si too. I put 17"s with 45's on. So far the ride's been really good. Not too bumpy, not to cushy. Of course...mines lowered too. So with stock suspension the 17's with 45's might feel too cushy. Go with the 45's if you're lowering it. Hope that's of some use to you.

I would say 17" I am looking at the 215/45 or 225/45 to put on mine but I don't plan on lowering.

dude, the 215/45's are great, I rode in this one kids 02 civic at school the other day, and it didn't ride rough, and they fit perfectly. 225s might be too wide I'm thinkin. can't wait til I get my car back next week, cause the rims are going on the same day I get it back

I would get 17s. I have had both and when you have 16s you will always want bigger. So, save yourself the trouble and money and go with 17s.

Sounds like 17's are the way to go SmoothOperator, do you have any pics of your ride? I think I might try to order from wheelmax, they are selling 17's RS5's for 799$ with tires. Not bad.

Whats up Nick? Yeah, I have 17x7 Konig Tantrums with 215/45/17 Kumho ecsta supra tires. I really wanted Nitto NT450s, but didn't wanna spend the extra money for them. I heard they discontinued the tantrums, so I guess I got one of the last sets sold in 4. Next time you're in Phoenix, we should definitely clear my lights. They're talking of another meet later this month, so maybe then?

17's for sure IMO. If you're plannin' on 16's, then you might as well just leave the hubcaps on instead.
