front emblem vs rear emblem

okay guys, I know there is a DIY about removing the emblems,

i know you use a hair dryer,

but how do you get the front off again? same way?

and what about the 2 sided tape honda uses

how do you clean that area?

should I try it before i ask? will the tape just come off?

I don't know about taking those two emblems off. I know the back one is screwed in somehow.
As for the tape... a little hot solvent (basically watered down lighter fluid) will get the job done. Just put some on a rag and wipe the adhesive off (it's amazing). The lighter fluid wont hurt your paint, but be careful.. it takes off the wax. Try to get as little on the paint as possible and wash it off immediately.

if you look on the inside of your trunk you will see the H emblem w/ 2 screw tabs, once they are popped the H will fall right off but will result in 2 holes in your trunk. As for the front it is similar but attached into the grill. The Civic and ex/lx emblem you heat up and take off will some string behind it and then use some water, wd40 or whatever you have that won't hurt your paint to get the sticky stuff off. Finally wax the area for some protection of the paint. Best of luck

For the front emblem you have to take off the entire front bumper and you'll see that the black part behind the grill is all connect together by screws. the DIY to take off your front bumper is easy to follow. Follow the directions and see for yourself.

I know that the H emblem has screws...but i took off the other emblems (civic and ex) by using WD40 and taking a string...then all that residue left on your car i just pealed it off with my finger nails...i got those blisters though...XP

I did the same thing but I didn't even use any wd40, just water and it looks real nice.
Only that whet the car gets real wet and there is water everywhere you can still see the word civic because the water won't stick to where the emblem used to be, it's pretty cool.

to get rid of that, cleaner wax, then polish, then a final layer of wax will rid your car of the leftover along with protecting your paint.
