Worn woodruff key for harmonic balancer

Worn woodruff key for harmonic balancer
Finishing a bunch of work on my 2004 Civic, and when I reinstalled the harmonic balancer I noticed the woodruff key was worn and no longer square. One end of the key was narrower than the other. Any idea what would cause that? And do I need to get a new harmonic balancer, or am I fine just getting a new key? Thanks for the input.

Was probably reinstalled incorrectly at one point. As long as it fits in the slot, I probably wouldn't worry about replacing anything, but if you do, you just need to replace the key.
