Just got my first Honda. 1994 Civic lx

Just got my first Honda. 1994 Civic lx

242,000 on the odometer. Engine and transmission was rebuilt at 180,000. Front body needs a little work and the brakes are spongy. Need recommendations on what I should look out for and check on. Thanks for reading.

Monitor the radiator and reservoir level daily for a week when the engine is cold. Loss of coolant in radiator or rise in coolant in reservoir means either a failed radiator cap or blown head gasket.

Put a large piece(s) of cardboard under the entire engine bay.. Let the engine idle for 15 minutes , shut engine off, wait 15 minutes and then check cardboard for any type of fluid stains: coolant, oil, transmission fluid. . If there are any stains note where they are in relation to the engine and transmission. Take pics of stains and post here if you want to.
