OBD III?

OBD III?
On other forums I've seen people saying that the reason our cars don't get much gain at all from aftermarket parts is because we have OBD III........I've searched on this and can't come up with anything. Anyone know what OBD III is and if there is any way to eliminate/counteract it?

Rep Power: 0 Isn't that the kind of computer we have or the software or something related to electronics. When I saw your subject I immediately thought you were talking about the computer. I have seen this somewhere enough that it was really familiar to me. Look in the manual.

Rep Power: 0 obd III stands for on board diagnostics. It has to do with the senors in your car, such as the mass air flow senor, which everyone knows is a horsepower thief. Thats why the ealy edition sohc d16's were faster because the had obd I.

Rep Power: 0 You have OBD II..... 3 is not out yet, that is where they can do such things as monitor your car's performance and emmisions remotely......even track its speed, position, etc, etc (like Onstar)...
