2005 Honda Civic Alarm
Hi, I'm an owner of a 2005 Honda Civic with an alarm system from Honda. My fob or remote that turns on and off the alarm for the car does not work. (I've replaced the battery with a new battery in the fob/remote and remote/fob still doesn't work). With that said, the alarm goes off. I insert the key in the ignition of the car & it won't turn on.This is all while the car alarm is going off. Is there a way for me to disengage the alarm so I can turn on my 2005 HOnda civic car. Thank you.

First, post a picture of your remote fob so we can see if it is a Honda unit or aftermarket.
Where is the LED for the alarm located on the dash?

alternatively, open it up and clean the contacts. I had to do that to my first key fob.
