15w50 motor oil

can i use it? it says on the mobil 1 site it is for high revving import engines that are amateur racers. I race on the street and wanted to know if i will do harm?

let's just put it this way, I put 10w30 in my engine, down here in Georgia, and it makes the engine bog just enough to notice and be annoying....

IMO, 15W50 is way to thick for our engines. I've used it in my VW Scirocco because for some reason, the VW engines have a higher temp compared to the civics.

Hey eman- you ahve a Scirocco??? My car before the Civic was an 88' Scirocco 16v. Man I loved that car! I never had to change the oil because it leaked a quart a week, so I constantly was giving it an oil change.[IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]

Call 1-800-ask-mobil (800-275-6624), They'll give you the low-down... IMO, You should be alright in the Heat in Vegas.

Yes I DID. It was an 83 8V. if it wasnt for this cab driver who damaged my right fender, I would still have her.
