2013 Honda Civic EXL Bruning plastic smell coming from Heating / A/c system
I searched the forum and even googled. I can't seem to find a reason why my Heating system in the car starts to smell like burning plastic after about 5 minutes of leaving it on. Its a practically brand new car 8k miles on it about a month out from the dealership. I dont really want to take this into a mechanic or the dealership if this is a simply fix.

Have you looked under it to see is there was a plastic bag melted to the exhaust? It happens a lot.

Check your oil level, you must live in the south to be discussing AC now, run the AC and run it hard until it gets HOT then check it out under the hood and under the engine with the car jacked up with a brite light. Especially the exhaust area as noted.
