The key fobs for my wifes car recently stopped working. wont open or close the car. she has the lock the car with the key on the drivers side. The car is fitted with a remote start that works just fine. Is there a way to reset the alarm on the car so that the keys will work again?

Questions:
BOTH original equipment key fobs affected?
Is the remote start system a genuine Honda accessory, or is it an aftermarket system?



Red LED light on each fob, does it illuminate every time you push a button?
Does the panic button make the car horn honk?

Do the power locks work with the lock/unlock button on the drivers switch panel on the door?

Have you checked for blown fuses in both fuse boxes?

Door ajar light on as if a door isn't shut?

Does the 'key in' chime run with the drivers door open, even if there is no key in the ignition?

If the system thinks a key is in the ignition, it disables the keyless lock functions completely.
If it thinks a door is open, it will not lock (but can unlock with the fob).
