Hey,

I'm working on building a decent system in my 2003 Honda Civic LX sedan, but I'm stuck on whether this speaker would fit in replacing my front and rear OEM speakers. The the speakers I'm planning to get are the Infinity Kappa 62.9i's, and have the dimensions of 6.5" x 6 3/4" (Width/Depth). I am certain that the OEM speakers sizes for my Civic are 6.5" x 3.5" (front) and 6.5" x 6" (rear), however, i haven't actually measured them. Since, if the dimensions are true, the widths are identical, then would the difference in depths between the OEM's and Infinity's be a problem? And/or would the Infinity Kappa 62.9's fit in my Civic?

According to Crutchfields website you need an adapter bracket. If you purchase the speakers through them then they will provide you with the brackets. I'm sure you could get them to fit without them but I don't know how difficult that would be.

Any 6.5" will fit with a speaker bracket/spacer.

The speaker housing is too large for the stock hole without cutting.

I installed 6.5 inch speakers in my civic, but I have to bore out the hole about an inch
