Valve Cover Gasket parts question

A bit of leaky around the Valve Cover Gasket on my 2001 Civic.
I'm thinking about doing this myself, so I did some research and found the parts at Autozone.
The strange thing is they come with 12 spark plug seals.

why would they give me 12 spark plug seals? my research only indicate 4.

I believe the smaller ones are valve stem seals.

Still not sure why there are 8 bigger ones.

In my experience nothing fits like an OEM gasket.

Yeah. That's odd.....I didn't replace my VCG, but mine has 8 IIRC. 4 for the tube seals and an additional four for the grommets underneath the little bolts that hole the VC on.

Re: Valve Cover Gasket parts question

Small ones are for the VC bolts, 4 rings are for the plug tubes, and maybe they included 4 more slightly different ones so the kit will fit multiple applications?
Wait.....
Ummm, no.
Curiously, I looked on the Honda site.....2 different tube seals listed, only one superseded to the other. 2 different manufacturers (KOYO and NOK). All interchange...I'll guess the aftermarket didn't look at a real car when they decided how to package the kit.

BTW, 12030-PLC-010, VC gasket set, MSRP is $40. Same for all engine versions.
Majestic wants $0.02 under the Zone price.

Don't forget to dab a small bit of RTV in the corners of the cam caps. Hondabond or Permatex Ultra Gray?

Thank you EZONE for the part set #.
I think I'll go for the OEM. That part # is handy because dealers will screw up if I don't have them the part #.
