Engine Ticking loud

I've just recently purchased an 08 LX with around 70k on it. I've noticed that at idle it has this loud ticking, sort of like it needs a valve adjustment. When i give it slight throttle it disappears but returns again around idling. I was just wondering if the car has automatic valve adjustment (hydraulic) or are they manually adjusted? Maybe its just bad oil? Any thoughts.

manual adjustment. the service interval is every 100k, or when you hear valve tapping noises.

It's normal but, you need to have the valve lash adjusted- soon. Just because Honda recommends 100K doesn't mean it won't need it earlier.
