motor takes longer to start when cold. Why?
motor takes longer to start when cold. Why?
04 civic 1.7 liter non- vetc. 100,000 miles on it. Only when it's cold the motor turns over 3-4 times before it starts. I put new spark plugs to see if that would help. That was a waste of money. Thank you for your help.
Re: motor takes longer to start when cold. Why?
Similar problem with an 03, 1.7L, 172,000 miles. Takes longer than I think it should to start first time of the day, takes even more time to start if I drive a bit, then park for 15 or 20 minutes, then try to start it again while it's warm. It doesn't seem to be slow cranking, so I don't think the battery or the starter is the problem. I haven't actually done anything about it yet.
