Any Good Honda Transmission Techs in the Bay Area?

My 99 Manual Civic's Transmission has the Input Shaft Bearing problem (Chain Rattling at idle), was wondering if there were any reputable mechanics i can be referred to for a side job or good tranny shop in the bay area...

Thanks!

What part of the Bay?

If you're in the East Bay,
Head over to Berkeley Auto Care on Telegraph

Tell em Kenith sent cha. They should take care of you

Hmm, thats a bit far to drive, lol

Not really sure on transmission work, never had that done
But all their pricing is fair, and they do really professional work

Sorry I dont know any place closer to you
But remember, you get what you pay for. Someone working on the side may not do as good as a job, and you have no warranty in case anything happens.
I wouldnt mind paying someone a little more, especially on transmissions/suspensions with added insurance that they did it correctly

Yeah its a bit far but may be worth the drive! I'll give them a buzz about my situation! Your right, i would only take it to someone who is well known on the forum for doing such work. A new bearing cost about $20, just takes 5-8hrs depending on the mechanic to replace it!
