Hello All.

I am new to this forum and new to a Japanese car.

I am planning to buy a new 2012 Honda Civic LX in two weeks.

1) Can I buy the car and the extended warranty from one dealership and take the car to another dealership for mntnce, repairs etc? Will the second dealership honor the warranty? The two reasons why I consider buying this warranty is 1-Peace of mind 2-Got a good deal on this 5 year extended warranty

2) If I get the KROWN rustproofing done, will that void the warranty?

I would appreciate your views. Thank you very much for your time

extended warranty never works out, either they deny you for any reason or nothing breaks. not worth it and you already get 3 yrs of factory warranty on anything. rustproofing is also useless as honda already has quite a bit of rustproofing done from the factory (coating on the undercarriage). just keep the car clean and you will be fine.
