Angry MPG Loss

I have a 07 Civic Hybrid. After a computer upgrade to make our batteries last longer our gas mileage when down. Is there a way to make our mileage back where it was?

Re: MPG Loss

not without flashing the ecu back to the original program. this problem was talked about a lot on ecomodder.com and unfortunately the new upgrade adjusts parameters that trade off battery life for worse mileage (the battery is used less than before so it reduces drain/charge cycles). there are some guys that swear never to take the car back to the dealer so they keep the old program. whenever you take in the car for work, they do the upgrades without asking first and then youre stuck.

Re: MPG Loss

you will really be saying that when the battery pack goes bad in another year or two. dont listen to the dealer about replacing it with a new one. the battery is still over 65% good when they say its dead. there are companies that will recondition it for you (prolly will last another 5 yrs) for very cheap instead of replacing it.
