Innovative idea 
I was on the fence about the idea(whether it was cool or ricey). Then I saw the price and the cool nor rice factor no longer was a concern. I couldn't get myself to fork out $100 for a light up emblem.
I'd like to make it clear that I'm not bashing your company, just saying the prices might be a little high. I don't have your sales figures, so I can't be sure at all.

First off, let me say thank you for your courteous post. I have learned a few years back, when I started my company and started posting on various forums, that some of the forum guests and members can be less than kind when hiding behind a keyboard. And truly, there is no reason for it. With that said I appreciate your comment and will hopefully try to address all of the topics. Thank you in advance for reading this long reply.
A little history first is you don’t mind. Amp’d Emblems® was started by me back in 2009. I am the inventor, and Patent holder for the company. I have always looked for the highest quality components to make Amp’d Emblems® the best that they could be. Price though always a factor, has been secondary at times when trying to find the best components for my product. For example, our Extreme White LEDs are rated over 8000k, and are 100 lumens per LED (the Honda uses four). I have learned that less than 2% of all white LEDs made get graded at that temperature (k) level. I have a “connection” with a supplier that can get me these highest rated bin code white LEDs. This took time and effort and negotiation, and of course, they are not the cheapest. I have bought and tested numerous standard LEDs from various suppliers to determine the brightest color and highest “k” value as well. All Amp’d Emblems® are custom made by hand, and take well over 4 hours each to produce. We use only original equipment emblems that we purchase from the dealer’s parts department. Some of the raw emblems alone are over $35.00 even at our wholesale cost.
Now on to the cool or “rice” factor. J This was definitely addressed years ago….and if you read the testimonials page of www.ampdemblems.com, I think the case has been made for classy and cool….not rice. But everyone can and will have their opinion on that. I will say that all of the testimonials are a good indication of the high level of satisfaction of the customers, and if you haven’t read them, I request that you do. Truly, (and this is my greatest reward) most of the Modders that have bought them, love them. Pictures never seem to do them justice, and this is commented on numerous times in posts and testimonials.
Speaking of Mods, this is probably one of the least expensive ones out there. Wheels, tires, suspension, sound, computers, intakes, etc., all top the price of Amp’d Emblems®.
Also, these are not the “glow” emblems of old. They are also not the lighted emblems that use a lighted piece of plastic that sits under your emblem, to light it up. We use pure direct and reflected light. It gives our emblems a unique lighting appearance that truly, no one else has. Also, our Patent prevents these other companies from using our technology. You can however find these substrate lit “emblem sandwiches” online from various Chinese companies. And those are very much cheaper than Amp’d Emblems®.
I would love to be able to sell them for $20.00 and have everyone buy them. Unfortunately, that is not even close to possible. For that reason, I know that this Mod is not for everyone. Just like anything else out there on the market. There are plenty of things that I would love to buy, that I just can’t afford. I will never be the guy that buys a $50,000 car, though I would love one! (I drive a 92 Accord with 265,000 miles on it!)
Lastly, we do offer discounts, and run specials every now to try to help out on the pricing. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I might be able to help you with anything else. Thanks for your time.
