01 Civic LX AT 4D

I just purchased an 01 LX with 87K to replace a 99 VP with 156K (great car saved my like in the accident) When I brake around a corner I hear a thumpingish noise seeming to come from the rear right wheel area I think. It is more pronounced on a right turn.
Any Thoughts?

The inspection we just redone in the last month or so and since it was done by a reputable place I am not worried that it is a safety issue but it is annoying.
thanks in advance

you might have a slight bend in your rim but you will prob feel that more often than just on turns try checking your wheel bearing and the bushings on that side.

that is kind of where I was headed. How would I tell if they are going aside from just replacing them blind?

Jack up the car at that wheel. Grab the wheel by the top and bottom and wiggle it in and out. If it wiggles it's a bad bearing or control arm (upper). Now grab it by the front and back and wiggle. If it wiggles that way it's bad bushings.
