Engine swap help
Engine swap help
Im pulling the b18a1 out of my 93 civic hatchback. The tranny is already out of the car. I am wondering if i can pull the motor and harness together. is there a way to unhook it from the firewall or something. never done this on a Honda, usually chevy's.
Re: Engine swap help
man if i would have known this i would have done that!!! i just swapped a b18a1 out of my teg and unhooked everything off of the engine! did you pull the tranny out or was it already out??? much more simple to pull the engine and tranny together

Re: Engine swap help
Sometimes on swaps things are done a bit differently and not necessarily correctly, but you should be able to simply unhook the harness and leave everything attached to the engine.
I guess you should have asked about that here first lol

Re: Engine swap help
I pulled the Tranny thinkin i would just replace it and stick with the b18a1. I bought a tranny from a local guy with a civic, turns out the tranny is a d16 instead of b16. so now im gonna pull the motor and do a k swap or something a little bigger.
