Engine swap help

Im pulling the b18a1 out of my 93 civic hatchback. The tranny is already out of the car. I am wondering if i can pull the motor and harness together. is there a way to unhook it from the firewall or something. never done this on a Honda, usually chevy's.

The engine harness and dash harness just clip together.

Okay so i can leave the harness hooked up to the motor and just unhook at dash plug. i know there will be some stuff that will have to come apart.

Re: Engine swap help

Sometimes on swaps things are done a bit differently and not necessarily correctly, but you should be able to simply unhook the harness and leave everything attached to the engine.

Re: Engine swap help

I pulled the Tranny thinkin i would just replace it and stick with the b18a1. I bought a tranny from a local guy with a civic, turns out the tranny is a d16 instead of b16. so now im gonna pull the motor and do a k swap or something a little bigger.
