Re: eg or da

Well... Stock the DA is faster with a bigger engine and longer wheel base but, weighs more. While the civic has a smaller engine and shorter wheel base but, weighs a lot less. If you're gonna swap or mod for speed go with the Civic 'cause the smaller platform will get you more speed with mods. The Civics handle way better than stock with suspension upgrades, you'd be suprised. If your going for handling go with the DA. You just can't go much bigger with the engine, you have to turbo and whatnot.

Cool thanks .. Yeah I was leaning more
Towards the eg for mods and the fact
That it's a lighter car.. I'm looking for the car
So one day I can take it to the ciruit track
And run it.. Does it sound like a good car
To do that with ???

Re: eg or da

Hell yeah!

Most bang for the buck engine wise is probably a B18 or B20 ($2K-3K). K20s are faster but, cost a lot more to swap ($5K minimum). Turbo will cost a lot also. Definitely want to upgrade suspension and get a performance bushing kit.

Look for local deals on engines first then hit the forums and the internet. There are tons of internet dealers for JDM engines with about 60K on them.

For upgrades on anything look on the forums here or the Honda-Tech.com FAQ's.

I would look for a Civic but, would keep an eye out for an Integra and go with the first good deal to come along. Keep in mind you want it cheap as possible 'cause your gonna gut it anyways. For example: http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/cto/2323447742.html I went to cars-and-trucks by owner and typed in "civic shell" in the search bar. "civic roller' works also.

Not unless they specifically say it comes with the tranny.

Sometimes you can find a whole swap. A lot of the internet JDM dealers have the whole package.
